Confirm the MOQ by design and process, and request a separate price for the trial batch.
Ask what the minimum quantity covers
If a supplier quotes an MOQ of 100 pieces, ask whether it applies to each design, each colour or the whole order. Five designs at 20 pieces each and 100 pieces of one design have the same total, but different production planning and preparation.
Separate an existing format from a new structure
Adding a logo to an existing specification and developing a new structure involve different costs. Even at 50 pieces, a new structure may need drawing changes, fixtures and more than one round of samples. Ask which preparation work is included.
Request trial and repeat-order prices together
Ask for both the trial price and the repeat-order price. For example, request separate quotes for 50, 200 and 500 pieces. Those tiers help you see how quantity changes the cost and plan the next order with better information.
