An accurate quote needs dimensions, quantity, intended use and delivery requirements.
Specify units and measurement boundaries
State the units and what the dimensions measure. A box with external dimensions of 300 × 200 × 100 mm and a box with those same internal dimensions require different construction and material calculations.
Give concrete quantity tiers
Give specific quantity tiers where possible. Asking for 100, 500 and 1,000 pieces provides a clearer basis for budget approval than simply requesting a wholesale price. State the quantity for each design.
Include the destination and packing plan
Provide the destination and packaging requirements at the same time. Delivery to one warehouse and separate shipments to 20 stores require different labels, carton arrangements and transport planning.
