Cap retailers and memorabilia ranges can enclose a displayed hat beneath a clear cover on a separate base. Measure the crown and brim in their supported position, then choose the cover-to-base and fastener arrangement. A cube's outside dimensions do not establish usable cap clearance or the space needed to remove its cover.

Material, thickness and finish
Specify acrylic cover-wall thickness, base thickness and fastener positions independently. Counterbores or knobs must leave enough material at the cover edge and avoid the cap brim.
Fit and use
Measure the crown and brim in their displayed position. Fixing and cover-removal space should be checked with the cap inside; a cube outline alone does not establish airtight storage.

What to review in a sample

Place the cap on its actual support, fasten and remove the chosen cover and inspect brim and crown clearance. Review base stability, contact at fasteners and the separation of clear faces in the complete pack.

Questions for this format

Should the cap be measured flat or on its support?

Measure the complete displayed arrangement. Crown height, curved brim and any internal support determine the enclosure cavity and can differ substantially from a flattened cap.

Are all gallery covers fixed to the base in the same way?

No. Select the pictured arrangement and identify the knobs, fasteners or removable-cover detail in the drawing. The chosen assembly determines how staff access the cap and which parts need packing separately.

Does the clear cover provide UV protection?

A clear appearance does not establish UV filtering. State the preservation or lighting requirement separately so the material and any supporting documentation can be reviewed for the selected case.
